Not just a weird word, but a band. I only a few weeks ago was made aware of this band’s existence.

Sebadoh got it’s start as a project shared by Lou Barlow, the bassist for Dinosaur Jr., and Eric Gaffney. I recently have become enamored with today’s selection which comes from their fourth full-length album titled, Bubble & Scrape, released in 1993. The song is called Soul and Fire.

Enjoy, and don’t hesitate to buy the album and support the band.

Eff yes, sebadoh is the shiot. Check around for the acoustic ver. that was on the Bubble and Scrape Expanded edition.

Have you heard Farm yet? It’s pretty rocking. Here is the video for the first single “Over It”, which is pretty flippin’ awesome (esp in the context of the DJ/sebadoh’s tumultuous history):

Yes I have and I think it’s fucking awesome. I saw a video of ‘I Don’t Wanna Go There’ where they perform in the studio. J is still one of my favorite guitarists of all time.
