Prince Rama to unveil new material via Karaoke???

It would seem that Brooklyn experimental/psych duo Prince Rama is promoting their upcoming album, Trust Now, through the release of music videos featuring their friends and collaborators performing karaoke versions of songs from the album.

Well then. I am down.

The first video the band has released is for the track “Incarnation” and it’s being sung by fellow Brooklynite, G. Lucas Crane of Woods. You can watch it here.

If you’d like to spare yourself the performance and dig right into a cut off the record, feast your ears on the track “Rest In Peace” below. As with most Prince Rama compositions, “Rest In Peace” is a universe all it’s own meant to be explored and documented by every last neuron in your head. I urge you to press play now.

One last thing I would like to mention about Trust Now is that it was recorded with the help of Scott Colburn who, for those who don’t know, has worked with bands like Animal Collective, Mudhoney, and SUN CITY GIRLS. Pardon me while my head blows up.

Trust Now will be out on Paw Tracks October 4th.
